Coming from a family of metalsmiths and locksmiths in Bavaria, Germany, Harry Sherman was determined to get a degree in the states and start his own business. Being a natural handyman, he noticed a need for hardware stores when he relocated to the Big Apple after school. From there, Manhattan Hardware was born. Since its naissance, two additional Manhattan locations have been opened, along with a location in the UK and another in Germany. Harry has since retired to Boca Raton, FL and his talented daughter, Frances Mia, has assumed the duty of owner and CEO.

Following the footsteps of her handy father, Harry, Frances Mia has a natural talent for interior design. These passions have made her a great successor to the Manhattan Hardware chain. Inspired by her European studies at Duke, she discovered the need for reliable hardware stores overseas. Fearless, she led the establishment and opening of European Hardware in the UK and Europäisch Werkzeug in Germany. They are now the leading hardware stores in the european home improvement industry. She spends her time between NYC, London, and Berlin, always with her loyal Brussels Griffon named Chewy, by her side.

Coming from a family of physicists, the gift of science has been passed from generation to generation, and onto Stu. A natural-born physicist, he has always been known for being able to build whatever you want, from anything you want. He has been called on a number of occasions for his expertise, most recently for advisement on the construction of the World Trade Center Path Station.
